Sizzler restaurants are joining forces with 3,000 dining establishments around the country to end childhood hunger during Share our Strength’s Dine Out for No Kid Hungry Week. The campaign, which ends Sunday, Sept. 25, raises millions of dollars to feed hungry kids. Sizzler hopes to raise $25,000 through in-store promotions.
Sizzler guests donating $1 to the cause receive a $1 off appreciation certificate redeemable for any entrée at Sizzler Sept. 26 to Oct. 31, 2011. In addition, Sizzler is donating 10 percent of its total Kids Menu sales this week to the fundraiser.
“Living in one of the richest countries in the world, it is astonishing to have found out that one-in-four children do not know when their next meal will come. Sizzler is the perfect venue to help change this statistic,” said Angelina Maranon, Sizzler’s campaign organizer.
“As Dine Out for No Kid Hungry Week heads into its final days, it’s really important that Americans get out and make this important event a big success,” Maranon added.
Participating Sizzler restaurants are located in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Hawaii and Florida.
In conjunction with Share our Strength’s Dine Out for No Kid Hungry Week, Sizzler is offering a 6 oz. fresh Tri Tip sirloin steak dinner with over 50 garden fresh items on the Endless Salad Bar for only $10.99.
