Turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and familly – those are what make Thanksgiving special. But, instead off slaving over a hot stove and deep cleaning the house for guests, FATZ makes Thanksgiving stress-free by opening each of its 49 restaurants, on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A contemporary casual restaurant concept, FATZ acts as a home away from home for guests across the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia, and provides a solution to the Thanksgiving dinner menu this year by giving thanks to it’s customers and staying open for the holiday.

On Nov. 24, 2011, FATZ will serve its loyal guest with a delicious oven-roasted turkey, gravy, cornbread dressing, red-skinned mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and a slice of pumpkin pie for just $8.99. Other menu items are available for purchase.

FATZ started with humble beginnings in 1988 in Spartanburg, S.C., and spread from one peach shed to a sensation across the Southeast with its varied, reasonably priced menu, ample portions of quality food and upbeat service in a comfortable atmosphere. Today, FATZ still believes in the same ideals that originated in that fruit stand 23 years ago and strives to deliver warm, friendly service with housemade, quality ingredients to create a “home away from home” for every guest that walks through the door. Known as leaders within each of its 49 locations, FATZ makes it a priority to engage with local communities through Short Stacks for Big Change fundraisers, charitable involvement and the Gold Star Program (rewarding students for exemplary behavior).
