Livingston, NJ (RestaurantNews.com) The Briad Group has acquired five restaurants in New Jersey from The Wendy’s Company.
Part of a continuing expansion, the acquisition brings Briad’s total number of Wendy’s® restaurants to 65. Briad has acquired a total of 23 Wendy’s restaurants in the last two years from the Company and other franchise organizations.
Last year, The Briad Group acquired eight Wendy’s locations in Manhattan and New Jersey. Briad also built its first new unit in nine years, opening its Sicklerville, New Jersey location in September 2014. A second new build in Mount Laurel opened late last year — the first Briad location to incorporate Wendy’s new Image Activation design concept.
The Briad Group is the largest Wendy’s franchisee in the New York and Philadelphia markets, with 38 locations in the New York/New Jersey DMA and 27 locations in the Philadelphia DMA. Briad employs nearly 2,200 Wendy’s team members.
