The Rustic Begins an Exciting Transition to a New Home in Downtown Houston

Popular Texas restaurant relocating near the convention center with expanded on-site parking and a rideshare zone

The Rustic Begins an Exciting Transition to a New Home in Downtown HoustonHouston, TX  (RestaurantNews.comThe Rustic, a beloved restaurant and live music concept with multiple locations in Texas, will relocate its downtown Houston venue from 1836 Polk St. to 1718 Jackson St. due to the city’s upcoming construction project. The new location sits next door to the expanded wing of the George R. Brown Convention Center and even closer to the Toyota Center.

The restaurant will continue to offer the same Rustic experience guests know and love, with added conveniences such as expanded on-site parking and a dedicated rideshare pick-up and drop-off area for easier access. The current location will close at the end of 2025 and reopen in its new home winter of 2026.

“This is a temporary pause with a purpose,” said Josh Sepkowitz, co-owner and CEO. “Downtown Houston has been an incredible home for The Rustic, and we’re eager to continue our story in a way that builds on what our guests already love. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026.”

By relocating just next door, The Rustic reinforces its long-term commitment to the Houston community, as well as the downtown hospitality and live music scene.
