Johnny Rockets celebrated its classic heritage during the recent grand opening event of its newest corporate restaurant on Cannery Row in Monterey, Calif. With idyllic views of Monterey Bay, the restaurant is located on the historic Central California street made famous by author John Steinbeck. CEO John Fuller hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 20, followed by a special performance from Ron Dante, of the classic band, The Archies. Guests enjoyed Shake and Slider samples and giveaways, throughout the day.

Johnny Rockets on Cannery Row joins the area’s hotels, nightlife and attractions including the Monterey Bay Aquarium, situated just steps away. Locals and visitors can enjoy the brand’s signature Hamburgers, American Fries, Shakes and classic music, much like those popularized in the canning town’s bustling heyday.  Guests will also experience the entertainment of dancing servers.

“Even with contemporary elements and modern decor, our Cannery Row restaurant maintains the timeless charm of a Johnny Rockets restaurant while paying homage to California’s rich history,” said Johnny Rockets CEO John Fuller. “That is the same experience we provide our Guests – the simplicity of enjoying a classic comfort foods in an iconic, yet modern, American atmosphere.”

The Corporate-owned Cannery Row restaurant marks Johnny Rockets’ first location on California’s Central Coast and is the fifty-fifth restaurant in California. Located at 685 Cannery Row, Suite 101 in Monterey, Calif., the restaurant opens at 10:30 a.m. every day and closes at 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
