Famous Dave’s of America has opened the Company’s second South Dakota restaurant in Rapid City. The new restaurant, owned and operated by Black Hills BBQ, Inc., is conveniently located at 1718 Eglin Street – just off Interstate 90 in the new Rushmore Crossing shopping center.
“We are excited to introduce Famous Dave’s award-winning barbeque to the Rapid City community,” said Pat Ryan, co-owner of Black Hill BBQ, Inc. “Rapid City is a thriving community eager for new dining opportunities. The Eglin Street address is in close proximity to the Ellsworth Air Force Base and we look forward to serving the families who are stationed here. Additionally, tourists visiting the Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, Sturgis and Deadwood will surely want to make our restaurant a stop along their way.” In addition to the new South Dakota location, Ryan and his brother, Casey, own and operate four additional Famous Dave’s locations in Montana and two in Idaho under the franchise group Rocky Mountain Ribs.

Open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., guests can enjoy both lunch and dinner in the 7,000 square foot restaurant. Famous Dave’s offers a hearty roundup of award-winning ribs, hickory smoked meats, and other BBQ favorites, such as St. Louis-Style Ribs brushed with Rich & Sassy® Sauce, Texas Beef Brisket, Georgia Chopped Pork, Country-Roasted Chicken, Wilbur Beans, Creamy Coleslaw and Dave’s Famous Bread Pudding. A Lil’ Wilbur Kid’s Menu includes classic kid favorites, such as Macaroni & Cheese, and Chicken Tenders.
