(RestaurantNews.com)  The doors open today for one of the most anticipated new food and music venues in DFW. Von Husband’s original red Barn BBQ opened in 2005. Red Barn BBQ’s original location is in Colleyville’s historically oldest commercial building. Few restaurants have achieved as much recognition in as few short years as the Red Barn, known for the best all you can eat Catfish on Friday nights.

Pit Master Von Husbands has created two special BBQ sauces and a special spiced meat rub to satisfy any appetite. Von’s desire to make the finest slow smoked BBQ for friends and family functions encouraged him to open his first location.

Husbands’ restaurant has showered in more awards for “Best Ribs”, “Best New Restaurant”, Best Takeout”, and “Best Catering”.

April 2012 he partnered with friends to open a second location in Mid Cities, Red Barn BBQ, Steaks & Sports. With a larger location he increased the menu and added live music every Friday and Saturday night.

With over 30 TV’s for sporting events and a 100 inch projector screen for special events it will be virtually impossible to miss the action.  With a state of the art system, you will get the best of everything: Pro, College, UFC, NASCAR, you name it; you will see it.  Whether it’s March Madness, NCAA, Saturday or just another NFL afternoon, you will be able to see it all.

Husbands Mid Cities location offers signature Smoked Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday nights and offers the Catfish daily.
