Bill Johnson's Big Apple Phoenix Restaurants Supports Local Businesses with Local First Arizona for Independents WeekBill Johnson’s Big Apple Phoenix Restaurants and Local First Arizona have partnered up to celebrate Independents Week during the week leading to the 4th of July, 2011. This week also marks the 9th anniversary of National Independents Week.

Bill Johnson’s Big Apple takes after a “real” local cowboy who achieved great fame by running a rebel radio show which attracted great numbers every night. Later on Bill Johnson grew as a celebrity and as an entrepreneur. Bill Johnson’s Big Apple is one of his many masterpieces and serves scores of locations throughout the greater Phoenix area, including Goodyear and Mesa.

Local First Arizona is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the local economy by bringing economic awareness and action to the masses in the state of Arizona.

Both businesses have always taken steps to promote local business and this week is being seen as another milestone towards achieving the desired goal to educate buyers and promote the benefits to the economy of “going local”.

Throughout this week, consumers participating from all walks of life will renew their pledge to support the economy while getting 20% off on their favorite local merchandise. The 20% discount coupon is available on Local First Arizona’s website and at each Bill Johnson’s restaurant location.

This week was made official by a declaration by the Former Governor Janet Napolitano. “Small businesses … serve a vital role in the state’s and local communities’ success.” She added.

The same message was reflected in Sherry Cameron’s press statement, the CEO of Bill Johnson’s Big Apple. She said, “Bill Johnson’s Big Apple feels honored to be a part of Independents First Week. We have always tried to play our role for a healthy and sustainable local economic growth, and we will continue to do so in the times to come.”

This week starts June 27th, and will include discounts and renewed pledges in the favor of the local economy.
