(RestaurantNews.com) Bread & Vine, the modern all-day QSR that blends French elegance with international comfort food, is stepping into the national spotlight. Founded in 2021 by French restaurateur Eric Bonnetain, the Galena favorite is now franchising with three new locations set to open in Tampa, FL, Geneva, IL, and Boston, MA. Openings Tampa and Geneva late fall this year.
From buttery croissants and delicate macarons to authentic ramen, Italian pinsa, Cuban sandwiches, and Greek gyros, Bread & Vine offers a menu as worldly as its founder’s career. Bonnetain, who grew up in his family’s Paris bistros, spent decades leading high-end culinary operations across New York, Miami, the Caribbean, and Asia before creating a concept of his own.
“Bread & Vine was built to bring people together over exceptional food in a relaxed, welcoming space,” said Bonnetain. “We’ve proven the model works in a small town – now we’re ready to share it with bigger markets across the country.”
Since opening during the pandemic, Bread & Vine has become a Main Street sensation, serving nearly 1,000 guests on peak weekends. Its franchise program gives entrepreneurs a proven playbook for success, with full support in menu creation, sourcing, design, staff training, and operations.
“Our goal is 10 locations by the end of 2026 and 50 by 2028,” Bonnetain added. “We’re looking for passionate partners who want to bring a taste of the world – with a touch of Paris – to their communities.”
