City Barbeque Brings Smoky Flavor to Rocket CityHuntsville, AL  (RestaurantNews.comCity Barbeque has broken ground on its newest location, bringing its slow-smoked barbeque – rooted in craft and care – to Huntsville.

Located at 11544 Memorial Pkwy SW near the intersection of Hobbs Road and U.S. 231, the new joint is City Barbeque’s first location in Alabama. With meats smoked on-site, house-made sides, and backyard hospitality, the space is built for locals to share authentic barbeque with family and friends.

In addition to dine-in and carryout, the Huntsville location will offer full-service catering for groups of all sizes, including office lunches, family celebrations, and community events throughout the area.

“Our team is excited to bring our first City Barbeque in the state of Alabama to Huntsville,” said Mike Muldoon, CEO and president of City Barbeque. “We’ve been smoking barbeque for over 25 years, and we are proud to now be part of the Alabama barbeque community. Since 1999, everything we do—from smoking meats on-site to preparing our house-made sides to becoming a trusted member of the community – is rooted in family, community, and togetherness.”

Whether guests choose to dine in, pick up carryout, enjoy delivery, or cater their next event, there’s always a reason to gather around the pit. The new joint is expected to open on February 9, 2026.

About City Barbeque

Born from a love of authentic barbeque and the joy of sharing it, City Barbeque has been proudly serving the flavor of America since 1999. What started as a single backyard dream has grown into a celebrated tradition built on craft, community, and genuine hospitality. Every joint still smokes meats on-site over local hickory wood and prepares scratch-made sides and desserts fresh every day – just like it did from the very beginning.

For more than 25 years, City Barbeque has stayed true to what made it great: a belief that great barbeque brings people together and that every guest should feel like family.
