(RestaurantNews.com) Last week the Google Maps +Local for Android mobile devices was updated so that the Indoor Street View – Virtual Tour is accessible at the top of the +Local display. This picture shows the “See Inside” image found on the +Local pages of businesses that participate in the Google Business Photos program.
When viewers tap the image it opens up an interactive virtual tour of the inside of the establishment. This Google +Local page enhancement helps consumers form their decision of the businesses they wish to go to.
Jim Hilker, a certified Google Trusted Photographer in the Google Business Photos program says “The Indoor Street View is probably the best Google search enhancement opportunity businesses have had in several years”. Hilker said that the process is not intrusive to businesses at all and take about 5 business days from start to “live on Google”.
