Leveraging its distinct culinary heritage, the Chimichurri Bacon Cheeseburger will be prepared in each CO Larkburger restaurant using high-quality ingredients, scratch cooking and classic culinary techniques
Golden, CO (RestaurantNews.com) Colorado-based Larkburger, the 10-year-old better burger concept known for its unwavering obsession with offering craveable American favorites, today announced the roll out of its first-ever limited time burger, the Chimichurri Bacon Cheeseburger. Available starting Monday, April 10, the Chimichurri Bacon Cheeseburger features a freshly-made in-house chimichurri sauce paired with other ingredients that’ll have fans begging for more. This first-ever limited time offer is one of many ways Larkburger plans to excite fans in new ways this year.
Prepared specially in each Colorado Larkburger kitchen, the Chimichurri Bacon Cheeseburger features the burger concept’s 100 percent Black Angus beef and house-made chimichurri sauce, along with pepper jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, house-ripened tomato, green leaf lettuce, purple onion, house sauce, arugula and crispy jalapeños, all served on a toasted brioche bun. This mouthwatering, first-ever limited time burger is a continuation of the concept’s mission to bring the hallmarks of fine dining to the masses by using premium ingredients, savory and sophisticated flavor combinations, as well as classic culinary techniques.
“We were inspired to create a chimichurri burger based on how the sauce’s bright, vegetal flavor pairs so well with our signature 100 percent Black Angus beef,” said Tony Friel, culinary director at Larkburger. “Originally from Argentina, chimichurri is a blend of fresh parsley, oregano, garlic, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Typically reserved for steak, we were excited at how well our chimichurri recipe complimented our high-quality beef. We can’t wait for our guests to try it!”
The Chimichurri Bacon Cheeseburger will be promoted in a variety of ways, including bus and radio advertising, paid digital and social media; and in-restaurant point-of-purchase promotional materials. Under new CEO Todd Coerver, this limited time burger is part of the concept’s plan to leverage its culinary heritage to find exciting ways to engage fans with new flavor experiences, as well as fun, timely and topical offers and events.
“Larkburger is unique in its fine-dining inspired, culinary approach to the burger. We want to offer new seasonal items that showcase and celebrate that heritage, without expanding or over-complicating our permanent menu we’ve become famous for,” said Coerver. “The Chimichurri Bacon Cheeseburger is a perfect example of the new, distinctly Larkburger items we plan to offer, that you won’t find anywhere else.”
Coming this summer, the culinary team has plans for another limited time burger, this time showcasing Larkburger’s popular Chicken Burger. Looking back, in celebration of its 10th anniversary on Dec. 9, 2016, Larkburger raised a [shake] glass to its fans across Colorado by offering guests a free, small birthday cake-flavored milkshake. Additionally, in February, Larkburger held its inaugural Larkburger Love Day, a now annual event thanking local organizations for making a difference across Colorado, by delivering boxes of free burgers, as well as thanking customers for their support with a free small side. Undoubtedly, you can look for more special offers and events coming from Larkburger in the near future.
