Opening a restaurant isn’t easy even in the best of times. And these certainly aren’t the best of times. Yet Kyle Israel, Carey Sobel and Travis Barr are among the brave souls giving it a try.
The three University of Central Florida alumni, all in their mid-20s, are part of a partnership that has opened up Terrace 390 in the old Harvey’s Bistro downtown.
“We knew the restaurant industry in Orlando was coming back,” said Israel, a former UCF quarterback. From established restaurant owners to budding entrepreneurs, people are taking a chance on opening new places to eat.
