NYC Restaurant Week Featuring Over 300 Restaurants

NYC Restaurant Week Featuring Over 300 RestaurantsIf you’ve never visited New York City during Restaurant Week, it may be time to plan a trip. Reservations for the over 300 participating restaurants will open on January 12th this year for the largest Restaurant Week in history. The event will run from January 24th to February 6th, 2011. Three-course lunches will be available for $24.07, and 3 course dinners will cost $35. These meals do not include beverages, taxes or gratuities and must be scheduled between Monday and Friday.

The NYC Restaurant Week was started to help promote both the city and the hundreds of unique and quality restaurants within it. Occurring twice a year, the event gives both tourists and city residents the opportunity to experience the best dining in the New York City at affordable prix-fixe rates. Now in it’s 20th year, the 2011 Restaurant Week program includes support from American Express and a partnership with Travelocity.

35 new restaurants have signed on for this season’s Restaurant Week, including Tamarind Tribeca, Faustina at the Cooper Square Hotel, L’Ecole, Riverpark, and The Strand Restaurant at The Strand Hotel. Favorites like the David Burke Townhouse, The Russian Tearoom and Tribeca Grill are also returning this year. American Express, as the Founding Sponsor of the event, is offering a special deal for card holding diners. Any cardmember who dines out at least three times during the event at participating restaurants will have a $15 credit added to their account when they register online.

Travelocity is also offering special deals for diners as part of their sponsorship. Travelocity users will be invited to book deeply discounted vacation packages to visit New York City during Restaurant Week. For the biggest savings, American Express cardholders will receive $75 off any booking over $250 made through Travelocity for a NYC Restaurant Week hotel stay.
