Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, has signed an agreement with franchisee Joe Mignone to open his third location in Delaware. The restaurant, scheduled to open this fall, expands the Saladworks brand in Delaware to five restaurants.
Mignone, a member of Saladworks family of franchisees since 1997, is one of over 75% franchisees who own more than one restaurant. “I came to Saladworks after spending more than fifteen years in real estate. I had seen the brand grow from their first Cherry Hill location and I was looking for the consistent income that the food business generated. Even though I came in with no restaurant experience, Saladworks’ business coaches gave me consistent, hands on guidance. Thanks to their help, I am opening another Saladworks, this summer in the Millcreek Shopping Center on Kirkwood Highway, in Wilmington, DE.”
Saladworks has been in the news for its franchisee support structure. QSR Magazine included Saladworks in their ‘10 Best Franchise Deals’ for 2010 and 2011.
“It was deeply gratifying to feed people healthy, fresh food and see them come back day after day!” said Mignone. “When I started thinking of expansion, Saladworks’ online ordering, point of sales and information systems made it very easy. All I had to do was hire efficient managers and monitor all the data in real time on my computer.”
Saladworks CEO John Scardapane said, “We are thrilled to see Joe, one of our most experienced franchisees, expand in Delaware. His dedication to providing exceptional customer service is what makes us America’s Best Salads.”
