Knoxville dining landmark rated for excellence for 5th consecutive year
Knoxville, TN (RestaurantNews.com) The Orangery, Knoxville’s premier fine dining restaurant specializing in French and international cuisine, recently received AAA’s prestigious Four Diamond® designation for the fifth consecutive year. The Orangery is the only restaurant in East Tennessee and one of just four in the state to have the Four Diamond rating.
“We are honored to receive this designation for the fifth year in a row,” said David Kiger, owner of the Orangery. “From our updated menu with a fusion of classical French cuisine and traditional southern fare to our carefully chosen architectural and design elements, we strive for every dining experience at the Orangery to be memorable. Our Four Diamond rating sets us apart from every other restaurant in Knoxville and we look forward to offering unforgettable dining experiences for years to come.”
The restaurant, serving lunch and dinner through the week and dinner on Saturday evenings, has several main-floor dining rooms, all of which are decorated in regency style and the Phoenix ballroom at the top of a grand spiral staircase is available for large gatherings. Additionally a courtyard space offers a more relaxed al fresco dining experience. Beyond its role as a landmark Knoxville restaurant, The Orangery has, for the past four decades, been the site of lavish wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties and other special events.
Continuing a 75-year tradition, AAA’s evaluation and diamond rating process primarily consists of the following three parts: introduction and interview, meal and restaurant tour, and assessment summary.
AAA’s Diamond ratings represent a combination of the overall quality, range of facilities and level of hospitality offered by an establishment. While 28,000 restaurants across the U.S. are approved by AAA, less than three percent are designated with the Four Diamond rating.
