Chef-driven Philly concept unveils an enhanced menu rooted in expert craftsmanship
Philadelphia, PA (RestaurantNews.com) Village Whiskey, the chef-driven concept from James Beard Award-winning chef Jose Garces, has introduced a refreshed lineup that emphasizes the kitchen’s focus on rich, satisfying flavors built from culinary expertise and high-quality ingredients. The update brings new dishes and refined favorites, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to crafting bold flavors and delivering the warm, indulgent experience guests have come to expect.
The menu features a fresh design with updated offerings across snacks, entrees, desserts and more that build on Village Whiskey’s reputation for scratch-made cooking. All the new dishes were expertly crafted and designed by Chef Garces.
Additions to the menu include:
Starters
- Pimento Cheese Dip – creamy house pimento cheese served with warm garlic sourdough toast
- Charred Shishito Peppers – blistered peppers finished with bourbon-smoked salt and comeback sauce
- Shrimp and Avocado Salad – chilled shrimp with avocado, watermelon radish and lime-bourbon vinaigrette
Sliders (choice of):
- Hot Chicken – buttermilk fried chicken with ranch and dill pickles
- Fried Shrimp – crispy shrimp with lettuce, tomato and dill pickles
- Pulled Pork – slow-cooked pork with pimento cheese, mustard greens and Cooper Sharp
Entrees
- Shrimp and Grits – blackened shrimp over cheese grits with tasso gravy and mustard greens
- Bourbon Apple Glazed Short Ribs – tender short ribs with glazed baby carrots, celery root puree, blue cheese and crispy shallots
- Pimento Cheese Melts – Veggie or Pulled Pork – griddled sandwiches layered with Cooper Sharp, mustard greens, caramelized onions and pickled jalapeños
Desserts
- Lime Posset – velvety citrus custard topped with brown butter streusel and bourbon whipped cream
- Chocolate Bourbon Chess Pie – rich chocolate filling baked in a flaky crust and finished with bourbon whipped cream

To celebrate the menu update and holiday season, Village Whiskey is offering guests a must-have gift card offer. Guests who purchase $100 in gift cards will receive one $20 bonus card. Purchases of $150 receive two $20 bonus cards and purchases of $200 receive three $20 bonus cards. One bonus card may be used per visit. The bonus offer is available in-restaurant from Nov. 24 to Dec. 24 and online during select windows. Bonus cards can be redeemed Jan. 1 through March 31, excluding Feb. 12–16.
