El Fenix Salutes America's Finest on Veterans Day

Active-duty and retired service members dine for free on Nov. 11

Dallas, TX  (RestaurantNews.com)  For nearly 100 years, El Fenix has proudly served the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. The connection goes even deeper than food, as Alfred Martinez, son of the restaurant’s founder, honorably served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

This Friday, Nov. 11, El Fenix invites all active-duty and retired members of the U.S. military to choose from three different meals – each compliments of the originator of Tex-Mex cuisine.

Each of the following Veterans Day meal options is served with rice and beans –

  • Enchilada Plates – Choice of two world-famous enchiladas made with aged cheddar cheese:
    • Cheese – with chili con carne
    • Sour Cream Chicken – seasoned chicken with sour cream sauce
    • Seasoned Chicken – with choice of ranchera or creamy tomatillo sauce
  • Classic Beef Tacos (two)
  • Tamale Plates – Choice of two:
    • Beef Tamale – with chili con carne
    • Chicken Verde – with green chili sauce
    • Pork Adobado – with anaheim sauce

Guests are asked to provide military ID or proof of service to receive their free meal. Valid at all 23 El Fenix locations on 11/11/16 only. Not valid in combination with other coupons, offers or discounts. Beverage, tax and tip not included. Dine-in only.
