Jersey Mike’s Subs Opens First Restaurant in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, FL  (RestaurantNews.com)  Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in St. Petersburg on June 27.  Franchise owner Jamie Connolly held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wed., June 27 to Sun., July 8 to support the American Heart Association in conjunction with Jabil Circuit.

The new restaurant, located at 10304 Roosevelt Boulevard North, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community, which offered a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to American Heart Association.  To boost the fundraising efforts, Jabil matched every $1 donation to the American Heart Association.

Jabil Circuit is one of the world’s largest electronic manufacturing services companies, and like Jersey Mike’s, they play an active role in supporting the local community.  All funds raised through Jersey Mike’s 12-day fundraiser, along with the matching gift from Jabil Circuit, benefitted the American Heart Association in their efforts to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s continued its steady growth in 2011 opening 69 new restaurants throughout the country, a 15 percent increase overall.  The popular sub shop wins best sub awards in virtually every market it enters.
