Popular Southern comfort-food favorite returns alongside hearty breakfasts, festive milkshakes and holiday traditions
Atlanta, GA (RestaurantNews.com) Krystal is bringing back its fan-favorite Country Fried Krystal just in time for the holidays, complete with crispy country-fried flavor, savory sausage gravy and a $5.99 meal deal. The return headlines a seasonal lineup featuring hearty Southern breakfasts, festive Peppermint Milkshakes and the annual Holiday Steamer Box.
First introduced in 2016, the Country Fried Krystal has returned several times over the past decade and ranks among the Southern slider chain’s best-performing limited-time items. This holiday season, the familiar comfort-food favorite is back in three offerings:
- Country Fried Krystal: A crispy country-fried patty topped with savory sausage gravy and served on Krystal’s signature steamed bun
- Country Fried Biscuit: The same crispy country-fried patty and sausage gravy served on a warm, fluffy biscuit
- 3-Egg Breakfast Plate with Country Fried Patty: Three made-to-order eggs served with a choice of protein, including the returning country-fried patty, plus grits or tots and toast or a biscuit
For $5.99, guests can enjoy the Country Fried Krystal Meal Deal, which includes a Country Fried Krystal, small fries and a small drink.

Southern Comfort Starts at Breakfast
Krystal is also serving up three hearty sausage gravy breakfast options:
- Sausage Gravy Biscuits: Warm, fluffy biscuits smothered in savory sausage gravy
- Sausage Gravy Biscuit Scrambler: A breakfast Scrambler paired with a warm biscuit and topped with sausage gravy
- Sausage Gravy Tater Scrambler: A breakfast Scrambler featuring crispy tater tots and savory sausage gravy
Holiday Favorites, Sweet Treats and Family Traditions
Krystal’s annual Holiday Steamer Box returns with 24 of the brand’s signature square sliders, making it an easy option for holiday gatherings, family get-togethers and entertaining. The festive packaging also features Krystal’s Holiday Stuffing recipe, which transforms the sliders into a Southern-inspired Thanksgiving side dish.
For something sweet, Krystal is introducing Peppermint Milkshakes in three flavors: Red Velvet, Vanilla and Chocolate. Each is topped with peppermint candy for a festive finish.
Families can make mealtime a little brighter with new Lite-Brite-inspired Kids Meal activities from Hasbro, featuring interactive Scratch n Reveal and Reveal & Play experiences. In select markets, Krystal’s 99-cent Kids Meal promotion also continues on Sundays with the purchase of an adult combo meal at participating locations.*
The Country Fried Krystal and seasonal offerings are available for a limited time at participating locations beginning Nov. 2 and continuing through the holiday season. Guests can order ahead or access delivery through the Krystal app, where Club Krystal members can also earn rewards and access exclusive offers.
