Sustainable wine country-inspired restaurant opening next week in Downtown Crown

Sixty Vines Opens in Gaithersburg Monday October 13Gaithersburg, MD  (RestaurantNews.com)  The wait is over!  Sixty Vines, the restaurant known for transporting guests to wine country, will officially open its doors in Downtown Crown on Monday, October 13. Located at 212 Ellington Boulevard, the globally inspired concept brings an entirely new way to enjoy wine – straight from the tap and paired with chef-driven dishes designed to share.

Guests can explore 60 wines on tap from vineyards around the world alongside a menu featuring wood-grilled steaks, market-fresh seafood, and hand-crafted pizzas. Each pour is perfectly chilled and selected to pair with a seasonal menu. From weekend brunch to “tappy” hour with friends, the experience is designed to feel like a wine country getaway.

“There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when people gather around a table to connect over great food and wine,” said Jeff Carcara, CEO of Sixty Vines. “Sixty Vines was created for discovery. Every visit is an opportunity to experience new flavors and wines in a way that feels approachable.”

General Manager Paul Fitz and Executive Chef William Sandkuhler lead Sixty Vines’ first Maryland team, welcoming guests for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Spanning more than 9,000 square feet, the light-filled space includes an open dining room with communal tables and a lively bar. The private dining room seats 24 and offers an inviting setting for celebrations and special occasions.

Sixty Vines’ wine-on-tap system reimagines wine culture. Each keg holds 26 bottles and can be reused roughly 1,500 times, reducing waste and ensuring every glass tastes exactly as the winemaker intended. It’s the closest “from the barrel” tasting you can get outside a vineyard.

The menu also features handcrafted cocktails like the Tequila Fix and Frozé, local beers, and a selection of mocktails and non-alcoholic wines. This will be Sixty Vines’ first Maryland location, expanding its presence from Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
