Better-for-you concept gets a head start on fall with two scratch-made seasonal favorites
Washington, DC (RestaurantNews.com) South Block, the better-for-you brand serving made-to-order acai bowls, smoothies and cold-pressed juices, is ushering in the new season with two fall-inspired additions to the menu: the Apple Crisp Bowl and the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, now available systemwide.
The Apple Crisp Bowl ($12.99) starts with a base of organic acai blended with unsweetened almond milk, blueberries and bananas, then piles on organic granola, fresh apples, almond butter, honey, pumpkin seeds and a dusting of cinnamon.
Also joining the lineup is the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie ($10.99), which blends real pumpkin and pumpkin spice with almond milk, maple syrup, almond butter, banana and mango, finished with a swirl of cocowhip.

Both items hit the menu well ahead of the first day of fall on Sept. 22.
