Company Plans to Open its First Texas Location in 2026
Reno, NV (RestaurantNews.com) Squeeze In, the happy-go-lively breakfast and lunch spot known for serving up the best omelettes on the planet since 1974, has announced its newest expansion city, San Antonio. With eight locations across California and Nevada, this will be Squeeze In’s first restaurant in Texas, which the company looks to open in mid-2026.
Founded in the mountain ski town of Truckee, California in 1974, Squeeze In has developed a strong following of loyal guests known as ‘EggHeads’. In 1974, a tiny little kitchen started selling omelettes to locals and tourists in historic downtown Truckee, California. Just 10’ 3” wide, and with only 39 seats, guests would literally have to ‘squeeze in’ to enjoy their breakfast at the little restaurant. As the list of omelette options grew, so did the popularity of the restaurant, and by the mid 80s it was a Tahoe/Truckee institution. Now there are 8 locations across 2 states with more on the way.
