The Fruit & Maple Oatmeal menu selection is made with whole grains, light cream, brown sugar, apples, cranberries, and raisins. This new breakfast item is offered throughout the day at any McDonald’s location and is served just how the customer wants it, fresh. Customers can order the dish with or without brown sugar, and can also opt to have a less sweetened version if they so please.

McDonald’s is looking to provide customers with a healthier breakfast solution that can help provide them with the vitamins, nutrients, and energy that they need to help give their day a fresh start. The new breakfast dish helps consumers on their way to achieving a well balanced diet that contains much needed whole grains and fruits.

The new dish is a great source of fiber and vitamin C and only comes with 290 calories. Consumers are encouraged to eat fruit and whole grains on a regular basis, and the Fruit & Maple Oatmeal dish helps make that possible because it contain 32 grams of whole grains and 25 percent of the daily recommend fruit serving. If consumers opt for the dish that doesn’t contain brown sugar, then they are only consuming 260 calories.

There are numerous health benefits for consuming whole grains, which is why they can be found in the new dish being offered by McDonald’s. It is reported that an estimated 95 percent of individuals do not consume the recommended amount of grains that they should be consuming on a regular basis, which is one reason for the introduction of the new menu item.
