The latest release adds 50 profiles, completing a defined baseline for restaurant enterprise research across the United States and Canada.

RestaurantData has added 50 company profiles to its Restaurant Enterprise Index™, bringing the public directory to 500 companies and completing its planned baseline. The company will maintain the index around that level as restaurant organizations enter, leave or change.

The active total may move above or below 500 over time. The milestone marks completion of the directory’s planned buildout, with continuing updates to membership and existing profiles.

The index covers restaurant enterprises across the United States and Canada. Its company profiles include restaurant brands, franchise organizations and groups that operate multiple concepts.

The release follows RestaurantNews.com’s October 19 coverage of 430 companies, its September 30 report on the 300-company milestone and its September 10 coverage of 150 profiles. Those dated articles document the directory’s buildout, while the live index reflects current membership.

A directory for researching restaurant companies

Companies represented in the completed directory include Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and Din Tai Fung. Their profiles illustrate different restaurant business models, including a restaurant and winery concept, a group with multiple dining concepts and a brand with a concentrated location network.

The directory also includes Hillstone Restaurant Group, whose concepts include Houston’s, Bandera and Cherry Creek Grill, and Tao Group Hospitality, which combines restaurants with lounges and nightlife venues. These group profiles give readers context for businesses operating under several venue names.

Completing the baseline gives readers a defined set of enterprise profiles for examining company structure. Connections among brands, operating groups and parent companies help identify the organization relevant to a research question. Location totals may overlap between related profiles and should be interpreted within those relationships.

Continuing review after the 500 company milestone

RestaurantData will continue to maintain the directory as company circumstances change. An existing profile may be revised without changing the total number of companies. An addition or removal changes membership and can move the active count away from the 500-company baseline.

Membership changes may reflect mergers, acquisitions, organizational changes or a company entering or leaving the index’s research scope. The completed baseline remains the reference point for maintaining the directory as its membership changes.

Companies can apply for inclusion or request corrections, with submissions subject to RestaurantData’s verification and review.

The REI is a company research resource rather than a performance ranking. Inclusion identifies a company within the index’s research scope.

The public directory is available through RestaurantData.com. Readers can consult the Restaurant Enterprise Index for the active company list and linked profiles.
