Local owner brings authentic Greek cuisine and catering to Ladera Heights restaurant

The 2,000-square-foot eatery in The Ladera Center is operated by franchise owner Saba Mengesha, who has owned an Ethiopian restaurant for more than 13 years and is eager to share The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill’s fresh tastes with the community.
“I’ve been in the food industry for many years, and I’m thrilled to step into this new role as a franchisee,” said Mengesha, a native of Ethiopia who has lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years. “The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill’s menu fits right into consumers’ desire for delicious, healthy cuisine, so I know it will be a hit here.”
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is known for its diverse menu rooted in the Mediterranean diet, offering customizable options such as rice bowls, fresh salads, and pita wraps with a variety of protein options ranging from gyro meat to salmon. Signature items include made-to-order Feta Fries, house-made dips, and desserts like baklava ice cream and rice pudding.
Beyond dine-in service, the Ladera Heights location offers Mediterranean catering for corporate events, community gatherings, and family celebrations. Guests can choose from build-your-own gyro kits, souvlaki skewers, traditional sides, and desserts designed to deliver a full Greek dining experience at scale.
